Muscat Municipality studies opportunities for developing al-Qurm commercial area
Muscat municipality of Bousher held a joint meeting with the committee formed by the landlords of al-Qurm commercial area on Monday morning in Sabco Commercial District, under the chairmanship of Mr. Khalid bin Hamad Al Busaidi, chairman of the committee and in the presence of the consultant appointed by the Commission to study the development of al-Qurm trade area.
Noteworthy, the project for the rehabilitation and development of al-Qurm Trade Area is an initiative of landlords in cooperation with Muscat Municipality that is followed-up by His Excellency Eng. Mohsin Ash`Sheikh chairman of Muscat municipality, the owners have also established a shareholding company to serve as a commercial and legal umbrella for the management and development of this project.
Al-Qurm trade area is the first marketing trade zone in Muscat Governorate where modern business centers were established in the early 1980s and have experienced significant urban growth over the past years.
