Muscat municipality celebrates the World’s Water Day

Muscat municipality, represented by the food control and Inspection Department in Qurayyat, celebrated the world water day which coinciding March 22nd of every year, under the new slogan (Nature For Water). The department has organized a program to promote awareness among school students of the importance of water conservation, with the participation of al-Gadeer factory of mineral water “Masafi”.
The exhibition included some photographs and models and has showed live test for bottled drinking water stored under unsanitary conditions. The test was intended to educate students and consumers for the danger of consuming bottled water exposed to sunlight and moisture and even the harm that is caused by refilling used water bottle.
It is worth to mention that this initiative stems from the municipality faith to preserve water as it is an essential pillar of sustainable development.
