Muscat Municipality benefits from the Australia experience in urban planning

Muscat Municipality organized a lecture entitled City Design and Planning, presented by the Australian expert Gilbert Roshcott, targeting a number of officials and planners in Muscat municipality, in cooperation with Professor Maymouna al Shaybaniyya, the managing director of the global retailer company. The lecture aimed at taking advantage of global experiences in the areas of city planning and urban development.
The lecture many aspects, most notably the concept of reviving a place, and a review of the experience of the Australian city Melbourne in applying this concept, enabling it to to be a vibrant face, winning the title of the world`s best city for life in seven consecutive years.
Noteworthy, the Australian expert Gilbert Roshcott, is one of the pioneers of applying the concept of urban revival and has had a significant role in transforming the Australian city of Melbourne into a vibrant destination. Albert has stayed in Muscat for a week and offered various workshops and lectures on the revival of places. The visit is part of the urban planning strategy, which intends to make Muscat an attractive destination in the Middle East level. Besides the fact the Muscat is witnessing an urban dominance which takes over large green landscapes.
