Muscat Municipality concludes its TOT program for preparing trainers

Muscat municipality, represented by the directorate-general of Human resources, concluded the training programme entitled "Preparing of Trainers TOT", held from (18-29) of March. The program aimed at introducing participants with skills that would enable them to offer professional training courses later.
Professor Samir Ar`Rifai noted during the program about the importance of emotional intelligence in programme management, workshops and enterprise management, and the importance of having leaders with emotional intelligence as they "leaders" need to control different pressures, by the ability to understand their emotions and others`.
Sultan bin Salim Al-Shaayei, director of the Human Resources Development department, stated: "Muscat municipality has many qualified cadres with considerable experience in the area of municipal work, and the Directorate-General for Human Resources, represented by the Human resources Development department, has been interested in rehabilitating a number of its cadres to be able to manage and deliver professional training courses on the job. He also added "I have participated in this program to support other trainees and to know the modern scientific methods and tools that help the trainer to prepare the scientific material in a modern format that is soon to understand.
Participants have also explained their benefit in the program. Mr. Talal bin Abdullah Al Rahbi, head of the operations at the communications center spoke that his purpose behind participating in this program is to refine cognitive skills, develop training methods, and the ability to employ and take out cognitive capabilities in a clear scientific notation.
Alia Ash`Shukri who is a translator at the information systems department said that she has participated in the prorgram as this programme offers a self-development way and to get acquainted with effective ways of transferring knowledge to others. She also added: " I have learned the principles and rules for developing a good programm or presentation, along with the foundations of a successful public speaking skills".
It is noteworthy that this programme stems from the municipality desire to train its employees and to enable a group of them to be professionbal trainers.
