Muscat Municipality damages about 265 kg of rotten fish and meat

The inspection and food control department of Muscat municipality in Qurayyat carried out an inspection visit to the stores that sell fish and meat in the Wilayah, with a view to following up the commitment of these stores with the health requirements, and to ensure the safety of the offered Meat and fish.

The visit has destroyed 250 kg of rotten fish bad for human consumption and another 15 kilograms of rotten meat damaged for lacking the label card describing the the source of meat.  

Muscat municipality affirms its pursuit on preserving the health and safety of consumers by tightening controls on food and food establishments through continuity of periodic and unscheduled inspection visits.
