Muscat Municipality: The start of “School Awareness Project”

The Information and awareness-raising department of Muscat municipality started today the "Awareness School Project" programme, which is a series of lectures and activities programme targeting school students in Muscat Governorate, with a view to raise their awareness of maintaining public facilities and hygiene.
The first lecture was held in Wadi Hitat basic school where students have been taught the consequences result from tampering with facilities. It has also promoted the values of community responsibility in the preservation of the environment, and the importance of maintaining public properties.
The "Awareness School Project" will continue until April 26th, and will be conducted in cooperation with the ministry of Education to determine the optimal way to implement the mechanism for the success of the project, making use of the database of parents with a purpose of making a good environment between the municipality and the school, as well as a working schema to deliver the messages smoothly.
