Muscat municipality in Grand Mutrah continues its inspection campaigns to local markets

Muscat municipality in Grand Mutrah continues its field visits and inspection campaigns to local markets and food establishments with an attempt to follow up the degree at which municipal regulations and laws are complied.
The campaigns resulted in issuing 27 fines during March and April against expats peddlers practicing a commercial activity without a municipal license. The municipality has also damaged about 990 kg of vegetables and 737 kg of fish not fit for human consumption.
Muscat municipality emphasizes that it will continue its inspection campaigns periodically on all public health shops and public and it calls on the community to report any rare violations by contacting the Muscat telecommunication center at 1111 or through Muscat municipality pages on social media.
