Muscat municipality carries out a cleaning campaign to Qurayyat beach
The community partnership department of Muscat municipality and in cooperation with the information and awareness department carried out today a cleaning campaign in Qurayyat beach. School students of Ash`Sheikh abu Ubaida al Balushi basic school and students of Dghmar basic school for girls participated in this campaign.
Apart form cleaning, Muscat municipality staff have distributed some awareness leaflets to participants stressing the importance of maintaining cleanliness of facilities and public properties. In this context, Mr. Fahad al Azri, head of awareness programs at the information department said that these campaigns are of great importance as they carry a lot of messages. They (campaigns) promotes the culture of volunteer works, and they emphasized the importance of preserving the mother nature and public facilities.
