Muscat municipality: The central market in al Muwalih is ready for Eid al Fitr
• About (1047) shipments loading more than (20940) tons of vegetables and fruits, (158) tons of vegetables and fruits were damaged.
• Extending working hours in the market with wholesale and retail stores.
• Intensifying inspection campaigns to warehouses, and food establishments.

The central market administration is preparing for the occasion of Eid al Fitr. The market has made an announvemt that different varieties of fruits and vegetables in sufficient quantities are ready to meet the needs of consumers in the Eid days.
Companies have prepared for this season early by increasing the number of shipments to the market to meet the needs of local consumers, with about (1047) of trucks coming to market during the period of 17/5/2018 to 5/6/2018 loading of (20940) tons of vegetables and fruits.
Intensive inspection
As the municipality is keen to maintain an optimal health level to consumers, it has damaged about 158 tons of rotton fruits and vegetables that are not fit for human consumption.
Market working hours
The central market has also extended the working hours during Eid al Fitr. The new timing will start at 4:30 a.m. until 11 at night, from Monday 26 of Rahadhan to Thursday 29 Ramadan. The market will be closed during the first two days of the Eid, and shall resume work on the third day.
