Muscat Municipality in Great Mutrah praises the community`s role in the success of its pest control campaign in Mutrah and Muscat

The Directorate General of Muscat Municipality in Great Mutrah organised a pest control campaign and an awareness programme lasting for a month in both wilayahs of Mutrah and Muscat. The campaign aims at involving the community partnership in pest control thus raising their awareness on healthy environment that is free of pests.
The Directorate started its campaign at the beginning of July, where 10 teams were formed including 4 health monitors and 40 workers. The campaign has been planned carefully at an earlier time with a specific time schedule and using environmentally safe materials.
Specialists on pest control from Muscat Municipality has emphasised the importance of such programmes to combat pests before any possibility to spread of diseases and epidemics.
