Muscat Municipality in as’ Seeb raids a site in al Mubeila South for selling unauthorized stuff
Upon receiving a communication, the urban inspection department of Muscat Municipality in Seeb raids a site in al Mubeilah south area used to sell alcoholic beverages, cigarettes and other banned substances. The Municipality took the legal proceedings in accordance with the provisions of Muscat Municipality regulations.
The incident refers to a group of expatriates storing large quantities of unauthorised alcoholic beverages, tobacco and cigarettes in some abandoned cars in al Mubeila industrial area, and following a report received on the incident, coordination between Muscat Municipality and ROP took action. The person was seized eventually and was proved in the investigation to have a store where the unauthorised stuff are kept.
Muscat Municipality emphasises that such raid campaigns will continue to target any activity threatening the public health, and it calls on local residents to report any similar incidents immediately by contacting the Contact Center Muscat (1111), or through the Municipality social networks.
