Muscat & Suhar Municipalities To Kick Off The Second Forum For Exchange Of Expertise Next Week

Together Muscat and Suhar Municipalities will launch the second forum to exchange expertise in municipal field tomorrow Tuesday at the Oman Sheraton hotel. The forum which has been entitled "Innovative Solutions to a sustainable Municipal Initiatives" will be patronized by H.E. Eng. Mohsin bin Mohammed Al Sheikh chairman of Muscat Municipality with the presence of some Excellencies, specialists and officials from both Municipalities.
The forum which will last two day 4-5 of December is conducted to share expertise in municipal field and to review the most prominent challenges facing it. It will also shed light on the best practices proposed to address such challenges. It will include six sessions with 17 papers and will hold some open discussions to share experience and queries on the municipal field.
For the first time the forum will host a delegation from the Republic of South Korea at its first session reviewing two papers about the successful experience of the city of Seoul, including a project on an industrial river park and another on hanging gardens. The visit of the delegation originates from the cooperative agreement signed between the two cities Muscat and Seoul.
