Muscat Municipality and PDO Continue “Better Than It Was” environment campaign

As an attempt to promote partnership with local community and to spread culture of preserving local environment, Muscat Municipality, PDO and Be`ah launch the "Better than It Was" campaign intended to clean up al Ghubrah beach.
A number of officials of Muscat Municipality will participate in the campaign beside representatives of the Shura council, citizens of the wilyah of Bousher and some activists and local associations interested in environment volunteering.
Director General of the Health Affairs in Muscat Municipality Mr. Qais al Kushry said that the campaign was decided to launch due to the joint standpoint of both sides Muscat Municipality and PDO to preserve the local environment.
He also added "it will last for 6 months covering all beaches of Muscat governorate, each month will be dedicated for one of the six wilayahs of Muscat". Be`ah company has also contributed significantly to the campaign by providing all requirements needed for the volunteers.
Muscat Municipality expresses its gratitude to the great partnership shown by PDO, Be`ah, local community and associations, and emphasizes that such campaigns play a significant role in acquainting citizens and residents of the value of maintaining the environment.
