Random dumping of construction waste is a considerable challenge faced by Muscat Municipality due to the face that such waste needs to be removed rapidly before it gets accumulated. There are some people who go easy with remnants of construction debris without care to what such debris can cause to locals or the environment. In order to ensure full compliance with orders, Muscat Municipality continues its intensive campaigns to monitor any irregularities in construction sector.
For the regulations, article 11 of local order 1/2006 on protective health and administrative decision 2017/55 poses fines to violators. From its turn, Muscat Municipality will not give the owner a permission to extend service lines like water and electricity before cleaning the site at the construction.
