Muscat Municipality to public: Adopt environment-friendly behaviors to dispose agriculture waste

Administrative decision (55/2017) on violations of Muscat Municipality has pointed out that throwing out rubble, trees and the remains of furniture and large appliances next to trash containers is a violation by law and offenders are fined an amount of (50) Fifty Omani rials, and in case the violation is repeated the amount is doubled.
Residues of various types impose serious risks to the public health as such pollution contribute to reproduction of bacteria, germs, viruses and rodents, which leads to a higher possibility of diseases outbreaks, or reductions of soil fertility or emission of fossils fuels.
People take refuge in burning agricultural waste as a quick way to get rid of waste despite the negative effects this behavior could cause.
