The department of Information and awareness-raising of Muscat Municipality implemented awareness programmes to school students in Mutrah region.  The programmes were basically a fruit of collaboration between the Directorate General of Education in Muscat Governorate and Muscat Municipality which aimed at communicating municipal messages and to promote a culture of environmental health among younger generation.

Students of schools al Waleed basic schools (5-9) and Faisal bin Turki (5-10) were acquainted with the issues related to tampering with public facilities and how to maintain them.
