50 of fish vendors in Mutrah souk educated Seafood Handling Practices
The health affairs directorate of Muscat Municipality starts implementing an education programme to (50) fish vendors in the market of vegetables, fruits and fish in Mutrah souk as attempts to acquaint them with the proper Seafood Handling and Storage.
The programme will so far has given vendors instructions on good health practices when dealing with fish while acquainting them the potential problems concerning food safety and the common negative practices found in fish vending. The prorgamme as Muscat Municipality strongly believes has the capability to promote the healthy practices as this will be reflected in the quality of food provided to consumers.
