The second phase:
On the other hand, the second package of the project has recently been awarded, which will include rehabilitating the service street in the ministries area and increasing the number of lanes. As a prelude to diverting traffic from Sultan Qaboos Street to it (temporarily), with the rehabilitation and reconstruction of the canal adjacent to Sultan Qaboos Street and located on the other side in the commercial district in Al Khuwair, which will be in width ranging from (3-5) meters, with a medium depth of (2) meters and in length. Total (945) meters.
Work on this stage began in October of the year 2019 AD, and it is expected to complete this stage completely by mid-year 2021. As the work requires the transformation of many different services and taking full account of the crowded traffic movement in the area.
