Within the efforts to ensure the highest levels of environmental protection and community health from COVID-19 pandemic, Muscat Municipality conducts a disinfection plan covering public sites in Muscat using a ready-to-fly drones. The initiative will be implemented in cooperation with the Ministry of Regional Municipalities and Water Resources, the Municipality of Dhofar and the Municipality of Suhar. The drones will spray disinfectant focusing on frequently touched objects in public facilities, waiting sunshades, taxi areas, at shops and other vital sites starting from 7 pm and continuously until 7 am every day.
