The Directorate General of Muscat Municipality in Grand Mutrah carries out an inspection campaign to business activities in the wilayah to make sure controls and prevention measures are met.
The campaign, which started on 15th March to 4 April 2020 carried out (4754) inspection visits, which resulted in (22) cases of shut down, (13) fines, in addition to (19) reports. Food establishments were the highest businesses with (909) shops, (1952) restaurants and cafés, and (920) barber shops and beauty centres. Inspection also included gyms and health clubs, which 30 visits, and another 403 inspection visits to laundries, 26 shisha cafés, and 14 visits to other activities.
