Municipal Preparations to Receive the Holy Month of Ramadan

Muscat Municipality, in all its sectors, confirmed its readiness to receive the holy month of Ramadan to meet the demand for the Ramadan rush, while at the same time considering the safety, quality and abundance that cover the needs of members of the community. In addition, the municipality has followed-up all food establishments and activities related to public health, an intensified inspection, with a view to ensure that they comply with the conditions of Public Health and the requirements related to their employees, working with these activities to find alternatives and solutions that meet the demand in order to ensure the safety of employees and consumers from the community. An online system of pre-booking is launched to reserve sacrifices from slaughterhouses to prevent gatherings and crowds in slaughterhouses. The Central Market have been supplemented with (329) consignments loaded with (6580) tons of vegetables and fruits at the main wholesale area. Work will start at 4:30 am to 2 pm, while work will begin in wholesale stores from 6 am until 5 pm.
