Muscat Municipality clarifies the activities allowed to operate
After coordination with the Supreme Committee in charge of dealing with covid19 pandemic, Muscat Municipality clarifies the requirements needed when carrying out the activities that have been allowed to be performed in light of covid19 disease.
Only through delivery and without allowing costumers to enter, the activities includes; Vehicle and fishing boats repair workshops and the sale of their spare parts. Likewise, vehicle electrician, oil changes, brake repair, sell and repair of tires are now allowed to start their work however with a maximum presence of two clients at the same time and adhering to health requirements addressed by the Supreme Committee and the relevant authorities.
The list also includes sale and repair of electrical & TV appliances, repair and maintenance of computers, stationery and presses. Sanad offices will be also opened, however without allowing visitors to enter and to work remotely.
In another aspect; crushers, car rent offices, rent of equipment and machinery are among those activities allowed to start their work remotely and without opening their facades to costumers.
A maximum presence of two clients at the same time can benefit from the money exchange shops, of course, after taking necessary preventive measures and health requirements.
Muscat Municipality still urges everyone to use personal protective equipment and to practice a set of health behaviours like covering the mouth when coughing or sneezing and washing hands with soap and water frequently and properly, and encouraging a social distance of at least 2 meters between people
It also stresses the importance of providing a register for workers to determine the time shifts (morning and evening), and to use of electronic means and digital documents as possible to reduce human contact to a minimum level.
