(6623) Sacrifices in Municipal Slaughterhouses in Eid Al-Adha

Muscat Municipality announced the number of sacrifices during Eid al-Adha in its slaughterhouses in Seeb and Al-Amirt with a total of (6623) sacrifices distributed to (6523) goats and sheep, and (100) cows. The municipality also developed a package of technical and administrative regulatory measures to facilitate slaughterhouses services to beneficiaries, with emphasis on veterinary examinations of slaughterhouses before and after slaughter operations, resulting in the total and partial destruction of (122) .
Muscat Municipality is keen to strengthen preventive efforts to maintain the health and safety of community members, ensure that slaughterhouses comply with all sanitary requirements in the field of cleaning and disinfection of all slaughterhouse facilities, conduct sterilization operations continuously for slaughterhouses, implement the policy of spacing and leaving spaces between the reeds and workers, and provide all personal protection tools for workers.
In addition to the safety of livestock to make sure they are free of diseases, before and after sloughter; to detect diseases that do not appear after the examination, in addition to the exact virtual examination of carcasses after slaughter and skinning.
