Muscat Municipality Takes Part in The Third Fujairah International Conference: Green Development for Coastal Areas
Muscat Municipality took part in the third Fujairah International Conference on marine and coastal environment 2020 entitled: Green development of coastal areas, from (21-22) December 2020 amid the participation of a group of academics and specialists from different countries.
The conference aims to promote environmental initiatives, raise awareness about the protection of maritime resources and intensifies cooperation and coordination to protect maritime biodiversity. It also examines strategic guiding frameworks systematically and scientifically, with regard to trends, visions, global legislation and policies and sustainable urban initiatives in coastal areas. The conference also identifies environmental challenges facing the long-term development of the marine environment in diverse global regions and platforms.
In addition to the economic, environmental and social impacts of Integrated Management in the field of Marine Environmental Protection. The conference also sheds light on the global best practices for green development in coastal areas, their role in the wider sustainability of the environment and its natural resources, and identifying successful models for maximizing the benefit of coastal geographical location in supporting opportunities for human activity.
Muscat Municipality joins the conference as coastal areas as an important part of modern urban planning, and as a desirable living habitat for the population.
