Muscat Municipality clarifies the regulations and requirements for resuming operations in shisha cafés

Muscat Municipality clarified the health requirements and preventive measures for the business activities of package eight allowed to resume their operations recently, in joint coordination with the Supreme Committee dealing with COVID-19 pandemic. Workers in Shisha cafés are obliged to adhere to these preventive measures:
1.    Keep their hands clean, avoid handshake and practice social distancing.
2.    Install awareness posters-in different languages-to promote coughing and sneezing etiquette and to practice preventive measures.
3.    Train workers to safely deal with customers & minimize contact with frequently touched areas.
4.    Report immediately if someone appears to show signs of illness.
5.    Familiarize workers on how to deal with a suspected case.
6.    Educate workers not to share their personal items such as: clothes, towels, eating utensils, personal protective equipment, etc.
7.    Aske workers not to come to work if they have any symptoms of the disease, or if they come into contact with any infected person inside or outside the work environment.
