From January 31st to February 7th Muscat Municipality carries out a training workshop for a group of municipal staff to use the Vehicle Tracking System which monitors municipal fleet of vehicles.

 

This workshop will introduce the new vehicle tracking system as a practical and reference system to monitor the movement of vehicles registered under this platform, and will provide a database on vehicle data, as well as measuring the fuel consumption of vehicles. 

The system is to keep all the data of vehicles trips and hours of operation, and monitors the movements of vehicles through the past and present time. It will give a precise location of the vehicles, check how they work and monitors the speed and violations.

Such system will help reduce traffic fines as it integrates technology to limit the use of vehicles. It will help to maintain the lifespan of vehicles, as well as raising the level of productivity and improving driver safety conditions through the features offered by the system.
