The Central Market is Prepared for Ramadan
• Emphasis on necessary health requirements when trading vegetables and fruits
• The opening hours will be limited form 5am to 5pm for both traders and shoppers
• Traders, trucks and refrigerators weighing 3 tons and higher can enter from Gate 1, while shoppers can enter from Gate 2.
Muscat Municipality announced earlier its new regulatory measures taken to organize the process of food circulation in the Central Market in Al-Muwalih, as the Sultanate is receiving the holy month of Ramadan. The merchants have been urged to increase and intensify direct imports from countries of origin, in addition to the local products, where the total number of shipments arrived at the market reached (1757), all loaded with about (35,140) tons of vegetables and fruits, that is from 3/11/2021 to 4/12/2021.
Muscat Municipality hereby urges all consumers to cooperate and understand the nature of the preventive measures taken to halt the outbreak of COVID-19, and the importance to comply with the health and preventive controls at the market.
