Municipality Slaughterhouses Working Hours During Eid Al-Fitr

For the second year now, Muscat Municipality relies on its online pre-booking system for individuals and butchery companies to reserve their sacrifices from the municipal slaughterhouses in the wilayahs of Seeb and al Amirat from Sunday, 9 May to the second day of Eid al-Fitr.
The Municipality noted that the slaughtering process of livestock will happen in the evening time without the presence of individuals, as the Municipality is implementing preventive measures to halt COVID-19 among the local community.Those who want to slaughter their cows and camels can bring them from Ramadhan 27th until the second day of the Eid.
The same applies to the slaughterhouse of in al Amirat, yet the number of sacrifices will not exceed 600 per day, 400 for companies and 200 for companies wishing to keep the meat in the slaughterhouse refrigerators, provided that work in both slaughterhouses will be from 6-8am effective the fourth day of Eid.
People wishing to receive sacrifices can go directly to the slaughterhouse barns for booking during the official work hours and pick up the meat the next morning according to the specified dates from 7.30am. to 11am from Monday 27 Ramadan to the third day of Eid.
All institutions, charities and companies wishing to slaughter in Muscat Municipality slaughterhouses have to communicate in advance with the operating company.
