Regulations Governing Business Activities Affecting Public Health



The local order (1/2006) has defined the regulation needed to preserve the public health and the control of food establishments, and health requirements for the practice of businesses activities that address the public health, as defined by the specific requirements for the practice of these activities, and defined the duties to be followed by the food inspection teams and the ways to perform the work,

Article No. 2 of the local ordinance stipulates that "the municipality has the right to close the food establishments and shops related to public health directly in case it was found carrying out unauthorised activity without obtaining a municipal license, carrying out commercial fraud in food, the presence of insects or rodents, or what is indicated in the shop or food, or leaks of sewage, or in case of selling or infectious diseases, or in emergency cases decided by the competent authorities".
Articles No. (6, 7) of the same resolution require that the owners of food establishments maintain the general hygiene and cleanliness of the place, dispose of its waste in a hygienic manner, and dump the garbage in plastic bags, and then put it in a container intended for this," according to Article (32) "the circulation of foodstuffs adulterated, corrupt or harmful to health is prohibited, and the municipality has the right to destroy them after
