Muscat Slaughterhouses Ready for Meat Demand in Eid al-Adha 




Muscat Municipality has completed its proactive measures to receive Eid al-Adha while considering the precautions set to halt further spread of COVID-19 in its slaughterhouses in Muscat. The Municipality has adopted an online system for individuals to pre-reserve their  sacrifices from slaughterhouses, pointing out that these preparations come according to precautionary plans that ensure the provision of services to the best standards, and the implementation of safety measures in the preparation of

The online system was intended to reduce gatherings and overcrowding in both slaughterhouses in Seeb and Al-Amrat, and has put in place an appropriate mechanism regulating the receipt and delivery of sacrifices, where it began the application of the system of pre-booking of private sacrifices of individuals effective Wednesday, 14 July 2021 until Sunday, 18 July 2021. Individuals wishing to take a sacrifice can go directly to the slaughterhouses from 7am to 12pm or from 3 to 4:30 pm, and delivery began from Thursday, July 15, 2021 to Monday, July 19, 2021, where delivery is carried out in the morning only from 7: 30 am to 12: 00 pm.
