Muscat Municipality Prepares to Combat Mosquito Breeding Grounds

As part of its proactive efforts in pest control, Muscat Municipality represented by the Directorate General of Health Affairs held a meeting with pest control specialists to implement preventive pest control campaigns across Muscat governorate as a measure to counter the spread of mosquitoes as the breeding season approaches. The meeting discussed a number of key topics, including how to prepare for the mosquito breeding season, and the optimal control methods to counter mosquitos using environmentally friendly tools. The programme will be eventually carried out in coordination with the Ministry of Health, focusing on sites attracting pests especially during rainfalls and on green landscapes.
