All Day long Duties to Reinstate Infrastructure
Intensified efforts to ensure proper reinstalment to damages caused by tropical cyclone Shaheen
Muscat Municipality has increased its efforts in dealing with damages caused by the tropical cyclone which hit the Sultanate recently. The efforts, which were made in collaboration with the National Emergency Management Committee, resulted in developing task forces and field teams equipped with heavy machines to restore the infrastructure where needed as was before the cyclone. The combined efforts also succeeded in removing water accumulations in lowland areas and to clear drains and low water crossings so to ensure better drainage management, which in return maintain a smooth traffic flow. The Muscat Communication Center (1111) has also worked around the clock, receiving emergency calls, communications and comments from citizens and residents.
