Muscat Governorate Staff Acquainted with Creativity & Innovation Skills
Within the national efforts to consolidate the principles of creativity and innovation as main pillars of the Oman 2040 vision, and the attempt to improve Oman`s ranking in the Global Innovation Index to become one of the top 20 countries, Muscat Governorate held a training programme on creativity and innovation skills and their application in work environment, targeting a group of employees in Muscat governorate and Muscat municipality.
The programme aims to provide trainees with modern international methodologies in creativity and innovation and their application to the functional, administrative, leadership and institutional field, in accordance with the principles of Oman 2040 vision and to keep pace with the Fourth Industrial Revolution. It has introduced trainees with the modern non-traditional concepts for an innovative future, intending to strengthen administrative and technical skills necessary to develop plans, policies and strategies. The objectives were developed to promote strategic decision-making skills in an innovative and creative way, which contributes to overcoming the challenges that prevent innovation and strategic thinking. Participants are provided with modern skills, techniques and strategies for functional creativity, which qualifies them to practice global methodologies in the field of creativity and innovation.
It is hoped that such training programme will contribute to strengthening the principle of complementarity between different institutional efforts and to unite them with supreme departments, all attempting to establish a solid ground for Oman 2040 vision.
