Muscat Slaughterhouses Ready for Ramadan Demand
The Health Affairs unit of Muscat Municipality has confirmed the readiness of municipal slaughterhouses to receive the holy month of Ramadan. The municipality worked with the operator of slaughterhouses in Seeb and Al-Amirat to ensure the abundance of meat and livestock in light of the expected demand for meat in the holy month, and that all equipment is maintained so to work at full capacity.
As for the working hours, starting from today (Tuesday 26 Shaaban 1443h March 29, 2022 until the end of the month of Shaaban, the slaughterhouses will operate at two shifts. The morning period will be allocated to individuals from 7 am until 12 pm, while the second shift will be dedicated to companies and starts at 6 in the evening until midnight. Whereas in the holy month of Ramadan, the slaughterhouses will work in the morning period allocated to companies from 6 to 8 in the morning, while individuals may visit the slaughterhouse from 8 am until 1 pm.
Muscat Municipality renews its call to citizens and residents on the importance of slaughtering in municipal slaughterhouses, as butchers and livestock and equipment are examined constantly to ensure safe meat for consumers.
