Muscat Municipality Carries Out a Four-Day Long Clean-Up Drive

The Health Affairs unit of Muscat Munciipality organized a public clean up campaign to remove solid waste from residential areas and neighborhoods in all Muscat Governorate. The campaign aimed primarily to eradicate common waste found spread on the area; trees, demolitions, construction and household waste accumulated randomly in residential areas, in addition to cleaning drainage channels and water crossings.

Municipal efforts were not confined only to cleaning works, but also awareness. Local community members were also made aware of the danger of these wastes, and instructed on how to dispose waste appropriately.
