Occidental Oman Begins Building al-Mubeila Park in Seeb
As landscapes and parks provide environmental, aesthetic, and recreation benefits to local communities, Occidental Oman, driven by its role in community partnership, begins constructing al-Mubeila Park in the wilayah of Seeb, on a total area of 152,400 square metres, in a lively location full of urban, residential and commercial facilities.
The park will be supervised by Muscat Municipality and was designed according to quality and sustainability standards. It will include many facilities and will serve people with special needs. It will have a 3200-metre-long sports & bicycle path, overhead bridges for pedestrians and bicycles, children`s games, equipment for physical sports, and sitting areas. There will be multi-use sport pitches, a site for skateboarding, cafés, areas for mobile vendors, prayer rooms and parking lots. It is hoped that the implementation of this project will continue for (24) months.
This cooperation with Occidental Oman company stems from Muscat Municipality pursuit to strengthen partnership with private sector through the implementation of projects, services and shared facilities that serve the community in all categories. And in this regard, Muscat Municipality wishes to thank Occidental Oman for such pioneering community initiative, and hopes to further cooperation with private sector institutions.
