Muscat Municipality Discusses Blue Economy at Oman Maritime Conference
The Health Affairs of Muscat Municipality took part in the Oman Maritime Conference 2022, held at the Oman Convention and Exhibition Center under the patronage of His Excellency Dr. Saud bin Hammoud Al Habsi, Minister of agricultural, fisheries and water resources. The conference aimed to raise awareness among segments of society about the importance of food security, and blue economy and sustainable development.
The conference shed light on areas related to the blue economy and the Marine field, including the ocean ecosystem, tourism, energy, shipping and port activities, as well as innovative areas such as renewable energy and marine biotechnology. Muscat Municipality has presented a working paper discussing the sustainability of food security from the oceans, considering that the conference is an opportunity to enhance and exchange expertise in economies related to maritime field.
