For Changing Expiry Date, Muscat Municipality in Seeb Fines An Establishment & Destroys Candy
Muscat Municipality in Seeb, in cooperation with the Consumer Protection Authority, destroyed a quantity of expired sweets and a number of children toys of unknown data and origin after being found displayed in a shop in one of the commercial centers in Seeb. Bases on article two of Local Order No. 1-2006 on public health prevention, Muscat Municipality has the right to close food establishments and shops for many reasons, including commercial fraud in food.
The Municipality hereby calls on all institutions to comply with health requirements in order to preserve public health and enhance the level of consumer protection from fraud or spoiled food, and also calls for contacting the free Muscat Call Center 1111 to convey any comments related to public health.
