President Of Muscat Municipality Calls for Efforts to Preserve Environment
In a speech delivered in conjunction with the public hygiene campaign "Stay Committed" (khallak Harees), that is being implemented in cooperation with the Environment Authority, His Excellency Ahmed al Humaidi, president of Muscat Municipality stressed that " Muscat Municipality is keen to keep the city clean of wastes, pollutants and residues on an ongoing basis, and within field teams that perform their roles efficiently and professionally, covering the different six wilayahs of Muscat Governorate ( Muscat, Mutrah, Bousher, Seeb, Al-Amirat and Qurayyat ).
His Excellency pointed out that Muscat Municipality is participating with the Environment authority and a number of other public agencies in supporting the National Public Hygiene Campaign, which is being continued under the slogan (khalak Harees), aiming to reduce the phenomenon of waste and pollutants that affect the land, sea and air environments.
In this regard, His excellency added, "we salute all the individual efforts that are being made for the cleanliness of homeland". He eventually called for more systematic initiatives that preserve the environment and preserve the aesthetics of the place, while consolidating the noble values of dealing with the environment and the city, in order to be a positive behaviour that is sustainable over time and together for healthy and green cities “.
