Muscat Municipality Concludes Its Ramadan Sport Tournaments
Muscat Municipality concluded its Ramadan sports tournaments for this year 1444 in football, volleyball, and table tennis,
in a closing ceremony held under the patronage of His Excellency Ahmed Al Humaidi, president of Muscat Municipality, at the municipality building in Seeb.
The Football Championship crowned the team of Muscat Municipality in al-Amirat as the champion, the Information Technology team came second. The player Younis al-Rushdi received the best player award, and Bader Al-Hinai received the best goalkeeper award, and Mahmoud Al-Harrasi received the top scorer award. (9) teams participated in the Football Championship competitions, with a total number of (153) players.
In the volleyball championship, the General Directorate of projects and landscaping was crowned first, and Muscat Municipality in Bousher came second. Mansour al-Qanoubi also received the best player award. The volleyball tournament was attended by (7) teams with (105) players.
In the table tennis tournament, in which (27) players participated, Ali al Hashimi-from the General Directorate of Muscat Municipality in Muscat - was crowned the first, Yaqoub Al Ameri –from the General Directorate of Muscat Municipality in Al-Amirat - was the second, and Fahad Al Azri - from the Events and Awareness department-was the third.
In appreciation of their role in the championship, the President of Muscat Municipality honoured the following: Seeb Sports Club, Badr Sama group of hospitals and clinics, al-Ameri shopping centre, and Rafidain view trading store, all for their contribution to supporting the success of the championship.
