Opening Hours of Municipal Slaughterhouses in Eid Al-Adha Announced
With the approach of the Blessed Eid of al-Adha 1444 Ah, Muscat Municipality slaughterhouses have raised their readiness to handle the expected increase demand of meat during the Eid period. The municipality ensured there is an abundant sacrifice, while putting the logistical equipment of slaughterhouses a priority, in terms of equipping veterinary medical examination staff, and raising the number of qualified butchers.
The working hours of tboth slaughterhouses in Seeb and al Amirat were determined in line with the previous experiences of slaughterhouses, peak periods and the purposes of community members to meet their needs, as the slaughterhouses will start working from Sunday 7 / Dhu al-Hijjah / 1444 Ag corresponding to June 25 / 2023 Ad, according to the following:

As for 10 Thu al-Hijjah, it will be allocated to individuals only, as per the following:

In order to provide better services for visitors, Muscat Municipality will allow the entry of private livestock for individuals on Eid days (cows and camels) from the main gates of the slaughterhouse, starting at 4 pm.Companies and meat shops wishing to slaughter in the slaughterhouse before Eid should coordinate with the operator company in advance. From the third day of Eid al-Adha, work will resume in slaughterhouses of (Seeb and al Amirat) in the morning period from 6 AM to 1 pm.
