The health control team of Muscat Municipality in Qurayyat, in coordination with the public prosecution and in cooperation with the Royal Oman Police, carried out a raid of a house used by workers found to be engaged in unhealthy practices in the circulation of foodstuffs and preparing food in improper ways inside their own residence.

Food items were found stored in unsanitary conditions, some of them expired, in addition to those workers using this housing to supply the neighbouring restaurant with food items prepared in unknown conditions and amid obvious poor cleanliness of the site and its unfitness to store and store food.

The team destroyed the foodstuffs and took legal actions as required by the provisions of administrative resolution (55/2017) on determining administrative sanctions for violations of Muscat Municipality.
