Today: Conclusion of the Muscat Municipality Football Tournament
The curtain dropped on Sunday evening on the Muscat Municipality football tournament which was held between different directorates under the patronage of Khalid Bin Muhammad Bihram, Services Assistant to the president of the municipality, at the Bayt Falaj field. The events of this season continued throughout the month in the midst of intense competition and the participation of 9 teams including : the Presidency, the technical, Seeb, Forestry, Transport, Matrah, Bawshar, Amirat, and Quryat.
The Presidency team won the tournament by earning the greatest number of points during the match rounds and the Seeb directorate came in second. The tournament overall saw 140 goals during 36 exhilarating matches. The third place team will be determined today at the conclusion of the meeting between the Presidency team and Quryat at 7:30 pm, followed by the honoring of the three highest placing teams where the tournament cup will be presented to the champion and medals distributed to the first, second, and third places. Members and institutions who contributed to the success of this tournament will also receive recognition at this time.
